Amazon Market Cap Tops $ 1.5 Trillion After Share Price Hits Above $ 3,000

Amazon, the multinational ecommerce giant, has topped $ 1.5 trillion in market value. Amazon becomes the third company after Apple and Microsoft to achieve the feat.

With the stock price crossing $ 3,000 for the first time, the market capitalization of Amazon has surpassed $ 1.5 trillion. As of July 6, 2020, Amazon is trading at $ 3,057.04 which gives the company the market value of $ 1.52 trillion.

As amazon stock price hits new high, Jeff Bezos strengthens the top position in the richest man of the world. At current, Bezos networth has soared to $182 billion as per the Bloomberg Billionaire Index. Bezos has gained approximately $66.5 billion in net worth since the start of 2020.

Bezos owns 12 percent or approximately 57 million shares of Amazon.

Jeff Bezos is followed by Microsoft Founder Bill Gates with $ 115 billion and Bernard Arnaultwith a net worth of $93 billion).
