Bank of Kathmandu Launches Contactless Cards | Maximum Limit Of Rs 2,000 Per Transaction

Bank of Kathmandu has launched Contactless Visa Debit Card. The bank has stated that the new card has been used to provide excellent services and facilities to the customers by making the highest use of technology. 

The cards can be used on POS machines with tap facility based on Near Field Communication (NFC).

With this technology, payment can be made by simply tapping on a POS machine from a limited distance without having a card inside the machine. 

In order to reduce the risk of Covid-19, paying through this contactless card will make it easier for the customer to maintain personal distance, the bank said in a statement.

At present, one can perform the transaction of up to two thousand rupees at a time.
