Capacity Utilization of Industries in Sudurpashcim Province at 30.82 Percent

The capacity utilization of industries in Sudurpaschim province was at 30.82 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year 2082/83. During the same period of the last fiscal year, the capacity utilization of industries in Sudur paschim province was 35.79 percent.
According to a provincial study report of NRB, manufacturing industries related to mustard oil, rosin, rice and soap have increased their capacity utilization while all other industries witnessed decline in capacity utilization of industry.
Until the Poush’s end of 2082 BS, banks and financial institutions have floated Rs. 27.63 Arba as loans and advances to the industrial sector of the Sudurpaschim province. This is 3.41 percent higher as compared to the same period of the previous year. Out of the total credit disbursed in the province, 17.16 percent has been floated to the industrial sector.
The lack of industrial infrastructures, skilled manpower and inefficient supply management remain as major challenges for the development of industrial sector in the province.
