Domestic Air Fares In Nepal Declines As Much As Rs 1,100

The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal has reduced domestic air fares. In a statement issued on Sunday, the association said it had reduced the price and introduced a new fare rate.

The association has also reduced domestic air fares after the Nepal Oil Corporation reduced the price of aviation fuel by Rs 25. With the reduction in price, the price of aviation fuel has remained at Rs 65 per liter. The association has reduced the fare from a minimum of Rs 200 to a maximum of Rs 1,100.

Even though the government has waived the infrastructure development fee and customs duty through the budget, it has been asked to provide aviation fuel at low profit to the domestic airlines that have suffered due to corona. The association also urged the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to decide on fuel price adjustment, flying at full capacity, no quarantine at the destination, taxi and public transport and hotel and restaurant operations.
