Dudhkosi-6 Hydropower Project (171 MW) To Be Built In Solukhumbu

Dudhkosi-6 Hydropower Project is going to be constructed in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality of Solukhumbu district. The project is the run of the river type project with an installed capacity of 171 MW.
Sagarmatha Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. , the promoter company for the project, has already prepared the environmental impact assessment report of the project.
The access road to the project site will be constructed along the Dudhkosi River. The project will have a design discharge of 52.6 cubic meters per second.
The project will produce a total of 984 gigawatt hours of energy annually- 295 gigawatt hours in the dry season and 688 gigawatt hours in the rainy season.
The electricity produced by the project will be connected to the new Khimti substation of Nepal Electricity Authority through a 63 km long transmission line of 220 KV capacity.
The total estimated cost of the project will be 30.80 billion.
