In the fiscal year 2021/22, India has achieved an economic growth of 8.7 percent. The National Statistical Office (NSO) of India released the data on Tuesday. In its latest review, the NSO had projected economic growth of 8.9 percent.
The Reserve Bank of India had initially projected economic growth of 9.5 percent. The Reserve Bank has projected an economic growth of 7.2 percent for the coming fiscal year 2022/23.
India has been releasing economic growth quarterly i.e. every three months. India’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 4.1 percent in the January-March period.
