Interest Rate On Fixed Deposit Falls To 9.99 Percent

Commercial banks have reduced the deposit interest rates with effect from Baisakh 1, 2080 BS. The meeting of the Bankers’ Association on Wednesday has decided to reduce the fixed deposit interest rate from 11 percent to 9.99 percent.
The interest rate for institutional depositors has come down to 7.99 percent.
Similarly, the interest rate on savings has been reduced to the range from 5.4 to 7.4 percent. Likewise, the interest rate on call deposits has been reduced to 2.7 percent.
