Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank opens its 100th branch in Kumaripati

Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, a national level development bank has opened its 100th branch in Kumaripati, Lalitpur on Karthik 8, 2076. Mr. Sudip Acharya, the chairman of the bank along with the chief guest Mr. Shivaraj Shrestha, the deputy governor of Nepal Rastra Bank jointly inaugurated the new branch.
The occasion was attended by distinct personalities including the executive director of NRB Mr. Bhuwan Kandel, promoters & board members of the bank as well as former banker Mr. Sashin Joshi.
On the special occasion of the 100th branch opening, the bank also conducted a free health check-up program in co-operation with Grande Hospital.
Mr. Shivaraj Shrestha congratulated the bank for its achievement. He emphasized the importance of the banking sector in achieving economic growth. Also, the deputy governor cautioned the bank to remain alert for any fraud or mishappening as seen currently in other financial institutions.
Likewise, Mr. Sudip Acharya, chairman of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank stated that the bank intends to open 20-25 more branches within this fiscal year. “With only 40 branches after the merger of Kamana and Sewa Bikas bank, the bank has crossed 100 branches within 2 years period,” said the chairman.
“Banks should work with long term vision rather than short term profitability,” said Mr. Sudhir Acharya. He further added, “We have made an investment in infrastructures and technology to make the bank stronger in all areas”. The chairman concluded the occasion thanking the governing bodies for showing the proper direction in moving ahead.
Launch of ‘Swarnim Surakshit Premium Bachat Khata’
On the auspicious occasion of the 100th branch opening, the bank also launched a new deposit product named ‘ Surakshit Premium Bachat Khata’. It is first of its kind in the development bank history, as claimed by the bank. The product offers various benefits including accidental insurance up to Rs. 7 lakh for 4 family members, medical insurance up to Rs. 1 lakh, and critical disease insurance up to Rs. 5 lakh.
At current, the bank is providing services to the customers with 100 branches and 49 ATMs across the country.
