Meromicrofinance Laghubitta Declares 20 Percent Dividend

Meromicrofinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend declaration is from the fiscal year 2078/79. The board meeting of the company held on Poush 5, 2079 BS made the decision about the dividend.
The microfinance company has proposed a 20 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 10 percent bonus share and a 10 percent cash dividend. The company is planning to distribute the bonus share worth Rs. 12 crores. Likewise, the cash dividend amounts to Rs.12 crores.
As of Ashad’s end 2079 BS, Meromicrofinance Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs. 120 crores. After the inclusion of the proposed bonus share, the capital will increase to Rs. 132 crores.
From the previous fiscal year 2077/78, the company had distributed a 21.0526 percent dividend including a 20 percent bonus share and a 1.0526 percent cash dividend.
The dividend is subject to approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the microfinance.
