Limit On Domestic Remittance Reduced To Rs. 25,000: NRB

Nepal Rastra Bank has reduced the limit on domestic remittance.

The central bank has issued a notice regarding the transfer of remittances stating that the ‘sub-agent’ or sub-representative’ of the remit company can transact up to Rs. 25,000 per person per day within  the country.

Earlier, the maximum limit for such domestic remittance transactions was up to Rs one lakh.

The central bank has stated that no change has been made in the limit of cash remittances sent from abroad to concerned persons or relatives in Nepal.
