Mark Hurd, Co-CEO of Oracle, passed away at 62

The Co-CEO of Oracle, Mark Hurd died at the age of 62. He had taken a leave of absence last month from Oracle due to unknown health reasons.

Larry Ellison, Chairman of Oracle informed employees about the death of Mark Hurd.

Hurd was appointed as the CEO of Oracle along with Safra Catz in 2014. Previously, he worked as the CEO of Hewlett-Packet (HP) from 2005 to 2010.

Four years later after leaving HP, Hurd took the position of CEO at Oracle. The Oracle share price increased by 37 percent during his reign.
