Muktinath Bikas Bank Partners With ‘WeChat-Pay’ Payment Service

Muktinath Bikas Bank has partnered with WeChat-Pay, a popular payment service in China, to promote digital payments. The agreement was signed by Assistant Deputy Chief Executive Officer Til Bahadur Gurung on behalf of Muktinath Bikas Bank.
Following the agreement, WeChat-Pay mobile wallet users can scan the QR code of merchants under Muktinath Bank and pay digitally. Chinese tourists or traders visiting Nepal through WeChat-Pay, which is very popular in China, will be able to pay through WeChat-Pay for the purchase of various goods and services.
Muktinath Bikas Bank has made provisions to withdraw money from any bank’s ATM under VISA Network free of charge to encourage digital transactions. Similarly, mobile banking, QR code scan, online loan application, online account opening, internet banking, remittance deposit in the account, etc. can be done from home without attending the bank branch.
