Namarjun Madi Hydropower Project (12 MW) In Kaski Resumes Generating Electricity

The 12 MW Namarjun Madi Hydro Power Project in Kaski district has started generating electricity. The hydropower plant, which was shut down after floods and landslides caused by continuous rains since last Jestha, has resumed production.
The Himalayan Hydro Power Company has stated that the production test has been started from Falgun 1 after repairing the damage caused to the project by the floods. According to the company, the project has so far generated 10 percent electricity and connected it to the national transmission system.
The project was connected to the national grid from Bhadra 2077 BS. The power generation has been shut down since Jestha 31, 2078 BS.
