NRB Allows Maximum Rs 30 Commission When Paying Tax Through Wallet

Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the commission that service providers can take when paying government tax through wallet. The service provider can collect the fee determined by the NRB only after Poush end. Due to Covid-19, the service provider cannot charge till Poush end, according to the NRB directive.

The directive stipulates that service providers will not be allowed to charge up to Rs 1,000 tax payment through wallet. There is a provision to charge Rs 5 per transaction for payment up to Rs 3,000 and Rs 10 per transaction for payment up to Rs 10,000. If tax payment amount is more than Rs 10,000, the maximum charge is Rs 30.
