Per Capita Income of Nepalis Rises to 1,517 US Dollars

The per capita income of Nepalis has risen to 1,517 US dollars, as highlighted in the Economic Survey for the current fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/25). Previously, the per capita income of Nepalis was 1,377.6 US dollars.
According to the survey, Nepal’s economy is projected to grow at a rate of 4.61% this fiscal year. Regionally, all provinces except Madhesh, Koshi, and Sudurpashchim are expected to surpass the national average growth rate of 4.61%. The size of Nepal’s economy is estimated to reach 61.07 trillion rupees during this period.
The contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) is anticipated to be 25.16% from agriculture, 12.83% from industry, and 62.01% from the service sector. The average consumer inflation rate stands at 4.72%.
For the current fiscal year, up to the month of Falgun , the federal government’s fiscal deficit was 16.19 billion rupees, a significant improvement compared to the 70.36 billion rupees deficit recorded in the same period last year. The outstanding public debt of the federal government has reached 26.76 trillion rupees by Falgun 2081, equivalent to 43.8% of GDP.
