Shares of Amazon and Goldman Sachs led the downfall as stocks tumbled on Monday to push S&P 500 to record low for the year. Also, Dow Jones fell by more than 1000 points in two days.
The decline was evident to the growing concerns that the economy and stock market will not be able to cope with the Federal Reserve’s plan to raise interest rates.
S&P 500 and Dow lost 2.5% and 507.53 points respectively. Similarly, Nasdaq Composite lost 2.2% with Microsoft shares declining by 2.9 percent.
