Udaypur Cement Factory Resumes Operation

The Udaypur Cement Factory, which was shut down along with the lock down announced to fight against corona virus, has resumed operations from Friday. The industry that produces 12,000 bags of high quality cement daily, remained closed for two months and five days.

The factory has stated that it incurs a loss of Rs 96,41,160 if the factory does not operate for a single day. Therefor, the 65-day-long lock down has caused a loss of Rs. 626.68 million. However, Cement Factory sold one lakh bags of cement worth Rs. 83.40 million to prevent shortage of cement in the local market.

Udaypur Cement Factory, which has secured mining reserves for more than 200 years, has been producing and selling 12,000 bags of clinker daily according to its production capacity.

Udaypur Cement Industry, produces the ‘Gaida cement’ with Japanese technology. The cement is of high quality and hence is popular among the consumers.
