132 KV Lahachowk Substation Comes Into Operation

Lahachowk substation has come into operation under the 132 kV double circuit transmission line project connecting New Modi of Parbat and Lekhnath of Kaski.
Pampha Bhusal, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation inaugurated the Lahachowk substation constructed in Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-4 of Kaski.
The substation has 132/33 KV, 30 MVA and 33/11 KV, 8 MVA power transformers. The substation has a 33 kV line bay and four 11 kV feeders for local power supply.
Construction of new Modi-Lekhnath transmission line project has been started to improve power supply in Parbat, Kaski and other districts and to provide electricity to hydropower projects to be constructed in Modi, Seti, Madi and Sardi rivers. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2.24 billion with the investment of Government of Nepal and Nepal Electricity Authority and concessional loan from Exim Bank of India.
