Banks To Provide Full Services Starting Monday

Banks and financial institutions will be fully operational from Monday. Banks have been limiting the services for almost two months due to the corona infection. At the meeting of the working committee of the Nepal Bankers Association held on Thursday, it was agreed to open all types of banking transactions.

The bankers have come to the conclusion that the banks will be fully operational after Ashad 7 as the lockdown is being relaxed.  At present, due to the enforced lockdown, banks have been providing services through few branches and there is only a deposit and withdrawal service. Also, the Bank branches are open till 2:00 pm.

Earlier, the central bank had directed the banks to operate five branches in the Kathmandu Valley besides the central office and outside the Kathmandu Valley as per the instructions of the local administration. Banks and financial institutions were allowed to operate branches by fulfilling health standards by keeping the minimum number of employees as per the pressure of the customers.
