Book close for 60% right share of Asian Life Insurance

Asian Life Insurance has informed Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) about the book close for the 60% right shares. The 136th Board of directors meeting held on Falgun 9, 2075 has set the book closure date on Falgun 22. The investors purchasing shares after 22nd of Falgun will not be eligible for the right shares.

Asian Life Insurance has paid up capital of Rs. 1.26 Arab and reserve of Rs. 26.34 crores till the second quarter. The life insurance fund of the company is Rs. 15 Arab. The long term and short term investment are Rs. 13.87 Arab and Rs. 41.76 crores.

The net premium collection and net claim paid until second quarter are Rs. 1.73 Arab and Rs. 15 crores respectively. The net profit is Rs. 2.89 crores, EPS stands at Rs. 4.69 and net-worth per share is Rs. 120.96 as of unaudited 2nd quarter of F.Y. 2075/76.

The life insurance companies need to meet the capital requirement of Rs. 2 Arab. After the 60% right shares, the paid up capital of Asian Life Insurance reaches Rs. 2.01 Arab.
