Century Commercial Bank Profit Climbs By 50 Percent

Century Commercial Bank (CCBL) has reported the rise in net profit by 50 percent until the third quarter of this fiscal year 2076/77. The bank earned a net profit of Rs. 92 crores in the nine months period. Last year, CCBL had earned Rs. 61 crores in net profit during the same period.

The operating profit of the bank increased by almost 46 percent to Rs. 1.27 Arba. The rise in profit is mainly due to the increase in net interest income as well as decline in the impairment charge (Loan Loss Provision). The net income surged by 14 percent to Rs 2.25 Arba. Likewise, the loan loss provision declined by almost Rs. 20 crores from the corresponding period of the previous year.

The Non performing Loans (NPL) has increased to 2.19 percent while the base rate has fallen to 10.27 percent.

The bank has collected Rs. 58.77 Arba in deposits from the customers. Likewise, it has floated the loans of Rs. 58.11 Arba to the customers.

At the current capital of Rs. 8.42 Arba, the annualized EPS stands at Rs. 14.51. Similarly, the per share networth is Rs. 129.72.
