Chhimek Laghubitta’s Profit Surges By 87 Percent | EPS At Rs 66.43 [Q4 Report]

Chhimek Laghubitta  Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CBBL), one of the leading microfinance of Nepal, has published the fourth-quarter report of 2077/78. The unaudited report shows a surge in profit as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

As per the report, Chhimek Laghubitta has posted a net profit of Rs. 121.56 crores in the fiscal year 2077/78. The profit has increased by 87 percent as compared to the previous year. In the fiscal year 2076/77, the net profit of the microfinance stood at Rs. 64.92 crores.

The rise in profit is due to the increase in the net interest income as well as huge writeback of provision. The company earned Rs 206.51 crores as net interest income, up from Rs 175.38 crores of the previous year. Likewise, it has collected Rs 57.13 crores as the writeback of provision.

As of Ashad’s end 2078 BS, Chhimek Laghubitta has the paid-up capital of Rs 183 crores with Rs 312.15 crores in reserve and surplus. At this capital, CBBL has an Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs 66.43 and per share net-worth of Rs 231.85.

The microfinance has floated the total loans of Rs 25.10 Arba.
