The cold storage to be constructed with German technology will be modern. The center will have eight chambers, where fruits, vegetables and meat will be stored. Farmers will be able to sell their produce to the cold storage and services will also be available for those who want to rent their goods.
According to Chairman Thanet, the Nawalpur Cold Storage Center is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 20 crores with the investment of Center, State and Returnee Nepalis. The center is being constructed on the initiative of Nepalis who have returned from abroad.
For the construction of cold storage, the company has leased 18 acres of land. According to Chairman Netra Thanet, the state-of-the-art training and seeding will be provided to the farmers to increase the agricultural yield. This will result in higher production than at present and will reduce the cost to the farmers and increase the returns, he said.
