Construction of 17 deep tubewells worth over 3 crores in Bara

The Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation Development in Parsa district has constructed altogether 17 deep tube-wells at the cost over 3 crores.

Constructed under the unconditional grant scheme of State No 2 in 11 places in Bara and six in Parsa, the newly installed deep tube-wells have provided irrigation facility in 425 bighas of land in both districts.

The tube-wells were built at Bagadhi, Nichuta, Dhobani, Pokhariya and Birgunj sub-metropolitan city-2 in Parsa district and Phetagaun, Bishrampur, Pachrauta, Ganja Bhawanipur, Swarna rural municipality, Telkuwa and Prastoka in Bara district.

One such tubewell costs 2 million, according to the Division Office of Water Resources and Irrigation in Parsa.
