Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company to Issue 56.62 Percent Right Share

Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited (DORDI) is planning to sell right shares to the shareholders.
The company has decided to issue right shares in the ratio 1:0.5662. This means that shareholders’ with 100 shares can apply for the additional 56.62 right shares.
As of Mangsir’s end 2082 BS, Dordi Khola Jal Bidyut Company Limited has a paid-up capital of Rs. 210.85 crores. Hence, DORDI has plans to float 1,19,38,714.58 shares in the right offering. At a par value of Rs 100, the right issue amounts to Rs 119.38 crores.
After the pre-approval from ERC, the company needs endorsement from the general meeting (AGM/SGM). Then the company has to appoint the issue and sales manager for the right offering. After that, it should submit the application to the Securities Board Of Nepal (SEBON) seeking permission to float the shares. Only after the approval from the regulatory body SEBON, the company can sell shares to the public.
After the right issue, the paid-up capital will reach Rs. 330.23 crores.
The hydropower company is currently operating a 12 MW Dordi-1 Hydroelectric Project in Lamjung District.
