Fares Of Domestic Flights Increases

Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has increased the fares of domestic flights with effect from Wednesday.

With the rise in the price of aviation fuel (domestic) to Rs. 190 per litre, the fares of domestic flights has been increased as high as Rs 220. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) had increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 5 per liter from Rs. 185 per litre.

The fare for Kathmandu-Dhangadhi  has increased by Rs 220. The fare from Kathmandu to Biratnagar has been increased by Rs 125, Kathmandu-Pokhara by Rs 80, Kathmandu-Bhairahawa by Rs 100, Kathmandu-Simara by Rs 45, Kathmandu-Nepalgunj by Rs 165, Kathmandu-Bhadrapur by Rs 150, Kathmandu-Janakpur by Rs 65, Kathmandu-Bharatpur by Rs 55, and Kathmandu-Tumlingtar by Rs 95. Similarly, the fare of Mountain Flight has gone up by Rs 170.

At present, 38 aircrafts of nine airlines are operating regular domestic flights at 35 airports in Nepal. Likewise, 33 helicopters of 10 helicopter companies are providing air services.
