Fares Of Domestic Flights Increases

Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has increased the fares of domestic flights with effect from Wednesday.

With the rise in the price of aviation fuel (domestic) to Rs. 185 per litre, the fares of domestic flights has been increased as high as Rs 840. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) had increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 19 per liter from Rs. 166 per litre.

The fare for Kathmandu-Dhangadhi  has increased by Rs 840. The fare from Kathmandu to Biratnagar has been increased by Rs 455, Kathmandu-Pokhara by Rs 300, Kathmandu-Bhairahawa by Rs 395, Kathmandu-Simara by Rs 170, Kathmandu-Nepalgunj by Rs 620, Kathmandu-Bhadrapur by Rs 570, Kathmandu-Janakpur by Rs 245, Kathmandu-Bharatpur by Rs 200, and Kathmandu-Tumlingtar by Rs 350. Similarly, the fare of Mountain Flight has gone up by Rs 655.

At present, 38 aircrafts of nine airlines are operating regular domestic flights at 35 airports in Nepal. Likewise, 33 helicopters of 10 helicopter companies are providing air services.
