Nepal Telecom and Vijay Bahadur Shah Honored as Highest Tax Payer in Nepal

The Inland Revenue Department has honored the individuals and organizations who have paid the highest taxes in the fiscal year 2079/80 BS on the occasion of the National Tax Day on Saturday. According to the department, Vijay Bahadur Shah, has been honored as the highest taxpayer for the fiscal year 2079/80. Similarly, Nepal Telecom, the state-owned company, has remained as the number one tax pax paying institution. Shah is the Managing Director of Jwalakhel Group of Industries.

In addition, the following businesses and individuals were recognized in various categories for their contributions to tax payments:

Tourism: Taragaon Regency Hotel

Goods and Trade: Bhatbhateni Supermarket Department Store

Energy Sector: Bhotekoshi Power Company

Annual business turnover of over NPR 50 million to 1 billion: CDS and Clearing

Remittance and Money Transfer: City Express Money Transfer

Highest tax payments between Shrawan 2075 and Asar 2081: Hongshi Shivam Cement

In other categories, awards were given to:

Single firm taxpayers: Shruti Traders

Exports of Goods: Dabur Nepal

IT-related Services: Codavatar Tech
