Nepal Telecom and Vijay Bahadur Shah Honored as Highest Tax Payer in Nepal

The Inland Revenue Department has honored the individuals and organizations who have paid the highest taxes in the fiscal year 2079/80 BS on the occasion of the National Tax Day on Thursday. According to the department, Vijay Bahadur Shah, has been honored as the highest taxpayer for the fiscal year 2079/80. Similarly, Nepal Telecom, the state-owned company, has remained as the number one tax pax paying institution.
Likewise, Global IME Bank Limited has received the award of the highest taxpayer in the banking sector, Nobel Hospital in Health and Education Services, and Manakamana Darshan in the Tourism sector. Similarly, IME Limited became the highest tax-paying remittance company, and LIC Nepal has been honored in the insurance sector.
Chhimek Laghubitta has been honored as the highest tax-paying institution in cooperatives and microfinance. Bhotekoshi Power P. Limited, in the hydropower sector, and Dabur Nepal Pvt. Limited in export-oriented business received the recognition as the most tax-paying company. Similarly, Bhatbhateni Supermarket in the business sector and Asian Paints in the special industry sector have been honored as the highest tax paying companies.
Surya Nepal has paid the highest value-added tax (VAT) in the last fiscal year 2079/80.
