Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal Comes Into Operation

The third credit rating company has come into operation in Nepal. Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has granted license to Infomerics Credit Rating Nepal Limited for credit rating business. With this, the number of rating agencies in Nepal has reached three.

Infomerics Nepal, which has a paid up capital of Rs. 10 crores, is a subsidiary of Infomerics Valuation and Rating Private Limited which is a SEBI registered and RBI accredited Credit Rating Agency in India.

The company  will provide objective analysis and evaluation of credit worthiness of Banks and other corporations,

According to the Credit Rating Regulation 2068, in order to establish a credit rating company in Nepal, the partnership of an organization that has done rating work abroad has been made mandatory. Accordingly, 51 percent of the company’s shares are held by Infomerics Valuation and Rating Pvt. Ltd.
