Financial Management Of 21.93 MW Kabeli-3 Hydroelectric Project (HEP) Completed

The financial management for the construction of Kabeli-3 Hydroelectric Project has been completed. An agreement has been reached between the promoter company and NMB Bank in this regard.

NMB Bank as a leader bank and Century Commercial Bank as a member bank will provide co-financing facility for the project. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs. 4.28 billion. Out of this, the banks will disburse the loan facility of Rs. 3.21 billion.

Kabeli Hydropower Company Pvt. Ltd is going to construct Kabeli-3 Hydroelectric Project (HEP). The company has already received the construction license for the project from the Department of electricity development. The department issued the license on Mangsir 2, 2078 BS. The construction license has validity until Mangsir 1, 2113 BS.

Kabeli-3 Hydroelectric Project (HEP) is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project with an installed capacity of 21.93 MW. It will generate electricity through Kabeli Khola located at Taplejung district in Province 1 of Nepal. The project will produce 130.26 GWh of energy annually.
