Hub Power To Construct 12.60 MW Lower Nyadi Hydroelectric Project

Hub Power Pvt. Ltd is going to construct 12.60 MW Lower Nyadi Hydroelectric Project. The project is proposed at Ward No. 6 and 7 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality of Lamjung District.
The project’s feasibility study and environmental impact assessment report have been approved. The process of obtaining the construction license has reached its final stage.
The Department of Electricity Development has issued a public notice and has requested the stakeholders to give written suggestions if there is any adverse impact during the construction and operation of the project.
The project is ‘run of the river’ type project. The design flow will be 12.56 cubic meters per second and the total head will be 128.75 meters. The project will produce 77.668 gigawatt hours of electricity annually.
The main structures of the project will be located on the left bank of Nyadi River. The headworks of the project will be constructed at Ward No. 6 and 7 of Marsyangdi.
The generated electricity will be connected to Tadikuna hub substation of Nepal Electricity Authority which is 4 km away through 132 KV line.
