Manakamana Cable Car Ticket Now Available From Mobile Phone

Manakamana Cable Car has signed an agreement with the digital payment service provider E-sewa. With the agreement, those who go to Manakamana Darshan will no longer have to wait in long lines to buy tickets.

The cable car has made such a provision with the objective of encouraging cashless transactions while purchasing tickets keeping in view the health security of the devotees.

Now, the devotees can buy e-tickets directly on their mobiles and computers. The same ticket can be used to travel by cable car.

Manakamana Cable Car is the first ever Commercial Cable Car Service of Nepal. It began its operation on November 24, 1998. Founded by Late Laxman Babu Shrestha, Manakamana Darshan serves over a million pilgrims every year.

Manakamana Cable Car station is 2 1⁄2 Hrs drive from Kathmandu, 2 Hrs from Pokhara and, 1 Hour from Narayanghat. The cable car covers the distance of 3 KM in just 10 minutes.
