Manakamana Cable Car To Come Into Operation From Mangsir 28

The Manakamana Cable Car, which was closed due to lockdown and ban, is scheduled to resume operations on December 12. The company has stated that the Manakamana temple and market will be opened and cable car will also come into operation as per the decision of the meeting held with the local level stakeholders chaired by the Manakamana temple area development committee on Tuesday.

The cable car service will come into operation after fulfilling the strict health safety standards. According to the criteria, passengers’ fever will be measured at both the stations of the cable car. Passengers with fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and showing flu symptoms will not be allowed to enter the cable car.

When entering the cable car, it is mandatory to wear max, sanitize hands, and maintain physical distance while sitting in line.  As 50 percent of the cable car capacity will be provided to the passengers and then the entry will be closed automatically. Likewise, the service of transporting livestock for sacrificial purposes has been temporarily stopped. The cable car will be operational only from 9 am to 5 pm.
