‘Mega Smart Krishi’ Service With ‘Mega Kisan Card’ Launched

Mega Bank Nepal Limited has started ‘Mega Smart Krishi’ service with ‘Mega Kisan Card’ giving priority to commercial farmers. Anupama Khujeli, Chief Executive Officer of Mega Bank, launched by handing over the first card to the farmers of Suryabinayak branch. The bank has introduced Mega Kisan Card to support the government’s policy of making the country self-reliant in agriculture by providing easy banking facility to farmers.
Khujeli, CEO of the bank, said that this service is Nepal’s latest banking facility in the agricultural sector. She said, “Through the Mega Kisan Card, farmers will be able to purchase various items related to all agricultural products, including fertilizers and seeds, from the designated agricultural service centers.”
The bank has already given priority to commercial agriculture and animal husbandry and women entrepreneurs. Addressing the financial needs of the agricultural sector, an agreement has been reached with the Bank and R&D Innovative Solutions to make the campaign to increase the agricultural productivity of the farmers effective.
