Construction Of 12 MW Mistrikhola 2 Hydroelectric Project Started

The construction process of the 12 MW Mistrikhola 2 Hydroelectric Project in Annapurna Rural Municipality of Myagdi has started.

Mountain Energy Nepal Limited, the developer of 42 MW Mistrikhola Hydropower Project in Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, Narchang, is preparing to build the project from the water coming out of the power house of the Mistrikhola project.

Electricity will be generated by discharging the water from the Mistrikhola power house into an underground power house near Gharkhola through pipelines and tunnels.

The project is expected to generate 66.43 MW of electricity annually. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs. 2.14 billion. The company plans to complete the construction work within three years.

The 42 MW Mistrikhola Hydropower Project started commercial electricity production from Ashad 3, 2078 BS.
