Muktinath Bikas Bank waivers the loans of deceased loanee

Muktinath Bikas Bank has waivered the loans of the deceased loanee along with the interest. Due to the death of the member Mohani Maya Thapa Magar involved in the micro banking of Muktinath Bikas Bank, Damauli, the bank returned and canceled the loan amount as well as the interest.

In the loan waivering program, Mr. Udayraj Timalsina, branch manager of Muktinath Bikas Bank, Damauli along with Mr. Dhruba Raj Ghimire, head of micro banking and Mr. Sur Bahadur Thapa, ward member handed the cheque of Rs. 59,278 returning the paid loan and interest amount. The cheque amount was received by Mr. Bhupal Thapa Magar, husband of the deceased. This includes Rs. 5,000 as expenses for the death ceremony.

Also, the bank waivered the remaining unpaid loan amount of Rs. 2,11,440 during the program.
