Jyoti Bikas Bank opens new branch at Gongabu

Jyoti Bikas Bank has formally opened a new branch at Gongabu, Kathmandu on Paush 21. The new branch has been brought into operation with an objective to expand banking reach to the people.

The inauguration of the new branch of Jyoti Bikas Bank based on Kathmandu Municipality Ward no. 26 was done by the Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu, Mrs. Hari Prabha Khadgi. Besides, the chairman of Ward no.26  Mr. Khem Tiwari, the chairman of the board of directors of Jyoti Bikas Bank, Mr. Hari Chandra Khadka and the CEO of the bank Mr. Manoj Kumar Gyawali also addressed the program.

Speaking at the inaugural program, the chief guest of the program, Mrs. Hari Prabha Khadgi informed that the municipality is willing to work with banking and financial institutions by co-operating with them. Likewise, she also expressed her surety about Jyoti Bikas Bank expanding its services to the people by opening branches throughout the 77 districts of the country in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Jyoti Bikas Bank, Mr. Hari Chandra Khadka assured that the bank will continue to bring services and convenience as per the need of the customers and the society in a more simple and easy way in the coming days. He also expressed his commitment to cooperate with different areas for the benefit of the society through the “Hamro Bikas Prabardhan” Fund to stand for Corporate Social Responsibility.

Similarly, the CEO of the bank, Mr. Manoj Kumar Gyawali also said that the banking service has expanded through the new branch opening and made it easier for people to reach the bank. He also informed that Jyoti Bikas Bank will continue to work in order to bring positive changes in society through banking services.

The directors of the bank, employees of the bank, the customers and the locals also participated in the branch opening of the bank. As of now, Jyoti Bikas Bank has been providing its banking services through 102 branch offices, 1 extension counter, and 43 ATM centers and it is on the process to bring an additional new branch within this fiscal year.

It is also preparing to provide ATM services to its customers from 25 more places within this fiscal year. The company has made a deposit collection of Rs. 32 Arab from more than 2 lakh 40 thousand accounts and provided the loans to more than 20 thousand loanees worth more than Rs. 27 Arab.
