Nepal SBI Bank To Close Issue Of ‘Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2083’ From Shrawan 4

Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. (SBI) is currently issuing a debenture named “5 yrs, 10.25% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2083”. The debenture offering is open from Ashad 22, 2079 BS. It will close on Shrawan 4, 2079 BS. Earlier, the issue was set to close on Ashad 27, 2079 BS. However, due to under-subscription until that period, the deadline for application was extended.

Nepal SBI Bank is floating 30 lakh units debenture at a face value of Rs 1000. Hence, the total debenture issue amounts to Rs 3 Arba.

Out of the total issue, the bank is selling 18 lakh units debenture worth Rs. 180 crores through private placement. Likewise, the general public can apply for the remaining 12 lakh units that amount to Rs. 120 crores. Out of the public issue size of 12 lakh units, mutual funds will receive 5 percent or 60,000 units.

One can apply for a minimum of 25 units and a maximum of 12,00,000 units.

The debenture will provide 10.25 percent interest per annum to the investors. The maturity period of the debenture is 5 years. Hence, the bank will refund the principal amount in 2083 BS.

Securities Board Of Nepal (SEBON) has granted the permission to the company on Ashad 9, 2079 BS. The bank had submitted the application to the board on Falgun 16, 2078 BS seeking permission for the debenture issuance. Only after the permission from the regulatory body, the bank can sell the debenture to the general public.
