New release strategy could help Apple to compete with other companies

JP Morgan analysts have distributed a note on Monday forecasting that Apple could now change its iPhone release strategy by referring to the supply chain checks. The company is expected to release new devices twice a year starting from 2021.
This major shift in strategy looks favorable because Apple can compete with other phone makers by launching new phones twice a year. Other tech companies like Samsung, Huawei producing mobile devices launch new phones throughout the year. Apple can get the flexibility to change its products within a six month period by the shift in its strategy.
As of now, the new iPhones are released in September and October. As a result, the quarter ending in December is the most profitable for Apple that is uplifted by the holidays and new models. Apple’s iPhone is one of the most important product lines of the company as it generates huge revenue for the company. So, this would be a major strategy shift for Apple in boosting the revenue from iPhone sales.
The analysts have also predicted that Apple will launch four new iPhone models in September 2020. The iPhone that will resemble iPhone8 will also be launched at a low cost in the spring.
