Orbit Energy to Issue 50 Lakh Shares in IPO

Orbit Energy Limited is in the process of issuing shares to the general public (IPO). For this purpose, the company has submitted the application to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) on Baisakh 22, 2082 BS. Only after receiving the approval from the regulatory body, the company can float the shares to the public.

If approved by SEBON, the company has plans to issue 50 lakh shares. At a par value of Rs. 100, the public offering amounts to Rs. 50 crores.

In the first phase, the company will issue shares to the locals of the project affected areas and foreign employed Nepalese. Likewise, in the second phase, the hydropower will float shares to the general public, including the employees of the company and the mutual fund schemes.

The company has appointed Kumari Capital Limited as issue and sales manager. The agreement for public offering has already been signed between the company and Kumari Capital in this regard.

Orbit Energy Limited was incorporated on August 19, 2009 as the private limited company and converted to public limited company on January 10, 2024.

The company is currently developing two run-of-river hydropower projects in Sankhuwasabha district:

1) Sabha Khola-B (21.5MW) Hydropower Project, and

2) Sabha Khola-C (6.3MW) Hydropower Project
