Paddy Production Increases By 5.5 Percent In Karnali

Paddy production has increased in Karnali in the current fiscal year. Karnali witnessed an increase of 5.5 percent in paddy production as compared to the previous fiscal year.  About 120,771 metric tonnes of paddy was produced in Karnali in the current fiscal year. Whereas, in the last fiscal year, such production stood at 114,318 metric tonnes.

Hence, the production of paddy has increased by 6,000 metric tonnes in the current fiscal year as compared to the previous fiscal year.

The highest paddy production in the current fiscal year is 42,803 metric tonnes in Surkhet, 28,900 metric tonnes in Salyan, 8,076 metric tonnes in Rukum West, 4,449 metric tonnes in Dailekh and 10,665 metric tonnes in Jajarkot.

Similarly, Dolpa has produced 605 metric tonnes, Jumla 2,200 metric tonnes, Calicut 1,489 metric tonnes, Mugu 7,576 metric tonnes and Humla 790 metric tonnes.
