Prime Minister’s Employment Program To Receive Rs 12 Billion Budget

The government has allocated Rs. 12 billion budget to provide additional two lakh employment opportunities in the coming fiscal year through the Prime Minister’s Employment Program.

Presenting the budget statement for the fiscal year 2078/79, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said that the Prime Minister’s Employment Program would be restructured. He informed that the youths enrolled in the employment service center will be provided employment for at least 100 days through the Prime Minister’s Employment Program.

The government had allocated Rs. 10 billion for the Prime Minister’s Employment Program in the current fiscal year 2077/78. Through this program, 80,000 unemployed people got minimum employment opportunities. The government  started the Prime Minister’s Employment Program from the Fiscal Year 2076/77.
