Rs. 26.75 Billion Allocated For Purchase Of COVID-19 Vaccine

A budget of Rs. 26.75 billion has been allocated for the purchase of vaccines for the prevention and control of covid. Presenting the budget for the fiscal year 2078/79, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel announced that Rs. 37.53 billion has been allocated for the control and prevention of COVID-19.
The testing and treatment of Covid 19 will be done free of cost. Similarly, health workers involved in the treatment of covid patients, laboratory staff, cleaners and security personnel who are directly involved in covid prevention will be provided with incentive risk allowance and other facilities as long as the risk of infection persists.
