Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL), one of the leading non-life insurance company of Nepal, has reported an increase in net profit by 10 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. The insurance company has posted a net profit of Rs 36.33 crores until the third quarter of this fiscal year, up from Rs 32.95 crores of the same period last year.
As of Chaitra end 2077 BS, SICL has a paid-up capital of Rs 175.85 crores with Rs 61.76 crores as reserves and surplus. Likewise, the insurance fund stood at Rs 123.89 crores. The company has a investment portfolio (short term & long term investments) of Rs 338.60 crores.
In the nine months of the fiscal year 2077/78, Shikhar Insurance has collected Rs 296.57 crores as total premium and Rs 108.24 crores as net premium. During this period, the company paid the net claim of Rs 64.02 crores.
Looking into the per-share ratios, SICL has an annualized EPS of Rs 27.93 while the per share networth is at Rs 216.39
