Snow River Receives License to Construct Super Kabeli Khola A Hydroelectric Project (13.5 MW)

Snow River Pvt. Ltd. is going to develop Super Kabeli Khola A Hydroelectric Project (HEP). The company has received the construction license for the project from the Department of electricity development. The department issued the license on Karthik 12, 2078 BS. The construction license has validity until Karthik 11, 2113 BS.
Super Kabeli Khola A Hydroelectric Project (HEP) is a Run-of-River (ROR) type hydropower project with an installed capacity of 13.50 MW. It will generate electricity through Kabeli Khola, Amji Khola located at Yamfudin (Taplejung). The project will produce 77.61 GWh of electricity annually-23.42 GWh in dry season and 54.20 GWh in wet season.
The generated electricity will be evacuated to the proposed NEA 33/132 kV Amarpur (Kabeli) Substation through 132 kV single circuit transmission line which is about 6 km away from the proposed powerhouse of the project.
