Super Madi Hydropower Project (44 MW) Connected To National Grid

Super Madi Hydropower Project, constructed on Madi Rural Municipality of Kaski district, has been connected to the national transmission line. After the successful testing of the electricity generation, the 44 MW project is transmitted to the national grid.
The electricity generated from the project is connected to the NEA’s Lekhnath Substation at Kaski District via 19Km long 132KV transmission line.
The project is completed at a cost of Rs 8.70 billion. Previously, the cost was estimated at Rs. 7.47 billion. However, due to various factors including flood, interest rate hike, etc. the cost has escalated.
The project is co-financed under the leadership of Sanima Bank by Rastriya Banijya Bank, Kumari Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Everest Bank, Prabhu Bank, and Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company. The promoters (including the general public) have injected Rs. 2.10 billion as equity.
The major shareholders of the company include Mr. Pushpa Jyoti Dhungana and CG Energy Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd.
