15 MW Mathillo Thulo Khola ‘A’ Hydropower Project To Be Constructed In Myagdi

Thulo Khola Hydropower Company is going to develop a 15 MW Mathillo Thulo Khola ‘A’ Hydropower Project in Thulo Khola flowing through Rahuganga rural municipality of Myagdi district.
For this, the company has received the construction permission for the project from the Department of Electricity Development.
The department has issued the license on Jestha 9, 2079 BS to the promoter company on the basis of the environmental impact assessment report and study report of the project approved by the Ministry of Forest and Environment. The construction license has a validity until Jestha 8, 2114 BS.
The main structure of the project will be located on the left bank of Thulo Khola. The dammed water in the river will be conveyed to the power house through 1226.5 meter long headrace pipe and 1196.5 meter long penstock pipe.
The company expects to complete the construction work of the project will be completed by Ashwin end, 2080 BS. The project will generate 87.23 gigawatt hours of electricity annually. The generated electricity will be connected to the Dana substation of Nepal Electricity Authority at a distance of 16.14 km through 33 kV transmission line. The necessary transmission line to the substation will be constructed by the company.
