Top 10 working destination for Nepalese workers in 2019

Due to the problems of unemployment in the country, Nepalese workers are forced to go abroad in search of work and to earn their livelihood.  Every year, a large quantity of working manpower in Nepal are leaving our country for better-paying jobs abroad. In the first seven months of 2018/19, 131,943 Nepalese have already gone out of the country in a legalized way. In year 2016/17 and 2017/18, a total of 398,978 and 358,815 workers left the country for foreign employment.

The number of workers going to Gulf countries has declined in recent years. The number of workers going for employment in Malaysia has declined by a massive 96 percent in the first seven months of this year.

Here is the list of top 10 countries where Nepalese go for job opportunities. The list is taken from the Department of Foreign Employment which includes legalized new workers( Institutional and individual)
