Aalampu Jalbidhyut Bikash Company To Develop 10 MW Upper Sagu Hydroelectric Project In Dolakha

Aalampu Jalbidhyut Bikash Company is going to develop a 10 MW Upper Sagu Hydroelectric Project in Dolakha district.

The company has received the license to construct the project from Department of Electricity Development. The department has granted the construction license to the company on Ashad 5, 2079 BS. The license has a validity until Ashad 4, 2114 BS.

The license has been provided to the company on the basis of the environmental impact assessment report and study report of the project approved by the Ministry of Forest and Environment.

Earlier, the Department of Electricity Development has issued a 35-day notice requesting written suggestions regarding the adverse effect due to the construction and the operation of the project.

Upper Sagu Hydroelectric Project is a Run-Of-River (ROR) type project with an installed capacity of 10 MW. It utilizes water flow from Sagu Khola to generate electricity. The project is located at Alampu Municipality and Bigu Rural Municipality in Dolakha District.
