WEAN Nepal Laghubitta Amends Dividend From FY 2077/78

WEAN Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) has amended the dividend to the shareholders from the fiscal year 2077/78.

The microfinance has proposed a 9.83 percent dividend. The total dividend includes a 9.33 percent bonus share and a 0.50 percent cash dividend (for tax purposes). The bonus share is worth Rs 67.65 lakhs while the cash dividend amounts to Rs 3.38 lakhs. Hence, the microfinance is planning to distribute Rs 71.03 lakhs worth of dividend.

Previously, the company had proposed an 11.50 percent dividend, including an 11 percent bonus share and a 0.50 percent dividend.

As of Ashad’s end 2078 BS, WEAN Nepal Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs. 7.24 crores [after the merger of Nepal Seva and WEAN Nepal Laghubitta]. After the inclusion of the proposed bonus share, the capital will increase to Rs. 7.91 crores.

The company will distribute the dividend after the approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the upcoming AGM of microfinance.
