Womi Laghubitta Declares 20 Percent Dividend

Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has announced the dividend to the shareholders. The dividend announcement is from the fiscal year 2077/78.

The microfinance company has proposed a 20 percent dividend. The dividend will be in the form of bonus shares. The company has not announced any cash dividend. As Womi Laghubitta successfully merged with Grameen Swayamsewak Laghubitta, shareholders need not pay tax for the announced bonus share.

From the previous fiscal year 2076/77, Womi Laghubitta had distributed a 30 percent bonus share to the shareholders. Likewise, from the fiscal year 2075/76, the company had provided a 26.316 percent dividend including a 25 percent bonus share and a 1.16 percent cash dividend.

The microfinance will distribute the dividend after the approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

As of Ashwin’s end 2078 BS, Womi Laghubitta has a paid-up capital of Rs. 41.19 crores. After the adjustment of the proposed bonus share, the capital will rise to Rs 49.43 crores.
